Lalique comes to SA with impeccable breeding, her mother Gaia being litter sister to the amazing dog Gangster Dandias de la Villa Valiano. She is related to Eckeen on the dam's side. She also comes with her own lovely character and is showing huge potential in tracking, obedience and protection. She is the first Dobe I have owned who literally grins and shows her teeth to me whenever she is happy, or guilty of something…. Lalique is a SA breed Champion, and has her BH and IBGH1. She has had one litter of lovely pups born October 2018 to imported Get to the Point Mulsanne (Rom). She is in training for her IGP1

Novika was my first imported bitch and brought amazing qualities into this country.  Dr Magda Braum (Poland) assisted me with finding her.  Novika's sire Oksamit was one of the top working Dobermanns in Europe, and won the Working and Progeny classes at the prestigious IDC 2014, whilst her litter sister Nelly Furtado was the bitch Puppy Winner at the same show.  I am grateful to Sylwia Salmanowicz from Elite House Kennels in Poland www.elite-house-dobermanns.com for letting me own this exquisite creature, but sadly we discovered that she had DCM when undergoing her annual test. She is retired from breeding and is living a very happy life on chronic medication.

In July 2014 I imported this lovely quality bitch in whelp to International Champion Dobergaarden Forever Athos (IDC winner 2011) to assist with my breeding programme.  Thanks to my friend Dr Magda Braum, I am very fortunate to have made a strong connection and resulting friendship with Didier Tachain from the French kennel De la Villa Valiano http://lavillavaliano.chiens-de-france.com/dobermann.html .

Eckeen is like the proverbial rock – she is kind and sensible, and exudes confidence and strength of character that is rarely matched.  She is well conformed, big boned and introduced additional size and substance into the country. She adapted into Haverhill life very quickly and produced 7 lovely puppies (our second M litter) in August 2014. Since then Eckeen has produced three more quality litters with Sant Kreal Granat and Pride of Russia Kazbek and is now retired to enjoy life on her couch.

“Lolly” was my brown bombshell – although she won in the breed ring and received excellent grades at specialist shows; her show winnings were limited.  She more than made up for this with her working ability and divine temperament. She also continues her mother’s legacy of being the matriarch of the pack with gentle grace and humour; her puppies are continuing this trait for many happy families.  Lolly has produced two litters– Haverhill Kara ZTPV1A being the foundation bitch of the new SA kennel, Ragnor Dobermanns. Lolly is very sadly missed by everyone that loved her charming character

Tori WAS the consummate show girl, I have no doubt that she inherited her wonderful movement and good looks from her grandfather, my first Dobermann CH Hysand Viceroy.

From an early age she took control in the show ring, always out in front and giving her best – as a junior she won Best of Breed against 43 winning Dobermanns at the KUSA championship show 2007 under Ramon Podesta (Chile), and she won many more accolades during her show career.

A prolific breeder, she produced 5 litters for Haverhill, the most famous being the ‘H’ litter of 15 puppies.  Pups from this litter are spread right around Africa, many are breed Champions and are consistently achieving discipline qualifications.  Tori came out of retirement in 2013 to win several veteran breed classes, and her progeny won the Breeders Challenge for Haverhill at the World of Dogs and Cats Exhibition 2013, which was a wonderful achievement for our kennel.

Leila was my first born and the dearest dog – she finally succumbed to old age, but she still holds a very special place in my heart.  Leila was not only beautiful to look at, she was the gentle matriarch of the pack and a clown with very malleable ears.  She was a thief, a glutton and a gracious lady until her dying day. I am so proud of my girl, after a successful show career, then breeding two litters; she once more danced her way into the ring to become one SA’s top ten veterans of 2010.

Another daughter of the famous Cara’s Skeeter, “Whoopee” was a real character – a very entertaining personality and very protective of me and anything that belonged to me.  She was made up to Champion in South Africa and produced 3 lovely litters for me.  Her most successful progeny was the amazing MBISS Haverhill Belshazaar. Sadly Whoopee died prematurely from a very aggressive lymphoma.

“Skoot” was from the first litter of Skeeter in SA.  Jens Kollenberg (Australia) described her as “very good size and build, excellent quality.  Feminine, with a well-shaped head, dry neck and very good top line.  Well-developed chest proportions and good movement”.   Jens was not the only international judge who could see the quality of this wonderful bitch.  She was equally beautiful in temperament, a really sound and balanced character, and we miss her presence.  She produced four litters, from which I kept one bitch from her first litter; CH Hysand Leila of Haverhill.
